Polynesian Cultural Center Show

The Polynesian Cultural Center Mini Show gives you a look at what experiences awaits you at the islands of Samoa, Aotearoa, Tonga, Fiji, Tahiti and Hawaii. This world-famous cultural theme park is located on the North Shore with over 42-acres of large lagoons, waterfalls, lush tropical flora, and even an “erupting” volcano.

Lomilomi Hawaiian Massage

Hawaiian massage — lomilomi — is a centuries old healing practice. Pi‘ilani Wright, a certified practitioner, demonstrates lomilomi basics with class participants paired up to learn and apply simple techniques. Partners then switch giving each student the opportunity to experience both giving and receiving lomilomi.

Lauhala Weaving

Our Lauhala Weaving Class will cover the basic skills, technique, preparation and crafting of hala leaves into wearable Hawaiian art, such as a bracelet. Kumu Bill Keoua Nelson, who comes from a long line of prominent lauhala weavers, conducts this family friendly class.

Ho'okani Pila

An impromptu and free-flowing style of playing Hawaiian music where the focus is the fellowship of music-making and merriment. A great opportunity for intermediate and advanced 'ukulele players.

Hula

Hula is the art of Hawaiian dance. It expresses all that we hear, see, smell, taste, touch and feel. Hula is life. The late kumu hula - dance master - Maiki Aiu Lake's philosophy expresses the depths of this Hawaiian art form. Puake'ala Mann, a kumu hula graduate of Hälau Hula o Maiki, shares basic hand gestures, footwork and body movements that accentuate mele - chant or song lyrics.

Hawaiian Entertainment

Hawaiian music and hula 'auana (hula’s modern form) fill The Royal Grove Monday through Friday at twilight. Hour-long performances feature top island entertainers with a focus on Hawaiian language musical favorites — shared with kama 'äina (locals) and malihini (visitors) with aloha.
